It was a wet and cold night for scores of Nairobi residents on Tuesday following a heavy downpour.<br /><br />Many were stuck in traffic until the wee hours of the morning.<br /><br />Children weren’t spared either as Makini school students were marooned inside their bus at the South C mosque the entire night.<br /><br />Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero who is currently out of the country has issued a statement in response and committed to unblock the city’s drainage system.<br /><br />He has also offered condolences to the families of the nine who died in the Fuata Nyayo slum of South B and those who were injured and displaced when a wall gave in to a downpour on Monday night.
